Additional Information

In its third year, Bellezze al Bagno (Bathing Beauties) continued as an international competition between Italian, French, German and Spanish teams. It was presented for this year only by legendary Jeux Sans Frontières presenter Claudio Lippi.

Spanish broadcaster Telecinco elected not to screen this series of Bellezze al Bagno despite the involvement of Spanish teams.

Team Personnel

The Spanish team of Sabadell was formed of members of the Club Natació Sabadell, an aquatic sports club. Founded in 1916 and based at the Piscina Can Llong, it is now regarded as probably the most important swimming club in Spain, and has sent many members to the Olympics. However, it is probably best known for its women's water polo team, which has been the most successful team in the national championship in recent years with nine titles since 2000. In 2011 it won the European Cup, becoming the first Spanish team to win this competition. The men's team won its third national cup in 2012. The club members' sporting prowess also served them well in Bellezze al Bagno, in which they recorded a series of victories.
